This sauce boat is a must-have. Try this Tomato Gravy recipe from The James Beard Foundation: 2T bacon drippings or unsalted butter; 2T flour; 1 14.5-oz. can undrained stewed tomatoes or 2 lg. ripe, peeled & seeded; ½ c. tomato/vegetable juice or tomato/clam juice. In a stainless or enamel skillet, heat drippings over medium. Add flour and stir with fork. Cook for 2 mins., or until flour begins to brown. Add tomatoes. Simmer for 5 mins., or until thick & bubbly. Yield: 1 %XBD cups.
