Santa’s out of office. We’ll take it from here…. Let’s enjoy all the magic the holidays have to offer mixed with the bright and cheery vibes of summer. At Lenox, we celebrate Christmas all year long, so it’s easy to see why we love a good party to bring those festive ideas to the forefront. From whimsical dinnerware to décor that’s guaranteed to make spirits bright, here are four unique tips for your Christmas in July event!
01
Make Cocoa Mudslides
What do you get when you combine the sweet taste of the holidays with the laid-back tone of summer? Cocoa mudslides, of course! This refreshing cocktail comes in our Tuscany Classics stemless glasses (didn’t we tell you they can be used for so much more than wine?) Mix up crushed ice, vodka, coffee liqueur and a drizzle of chocolate syrup for that rich flavor. Top if it off with whipped cream and a sprinkle of chocolate chips for the full effect. We served ours on our Profile platter and added a few candy cane straws to sweeten the look. Make sure to snap a picture of everyone toasting!
02
Serve Watermelon Pops
We’ve got a juicy idea: make your own popsicles for your Christmas in July celebration! This one is easy to re-create. Just take a Christmas tree cookie cutter and use it on slices of watermelon. Add popsicle sticks to the bottom for easy handling and pull out a few plates so everyone can grab their own. We used our new Profile Snow Day dinnerware to complete the look. The whimsical winter scenes of people ice skating and kids making snow angels fit right at home with the worry-free vibe of your party!
03
Decorate Your Trees
Now it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! To really spruce up your backyard event, decorate your outdoor trees just like you would for the holidays! We added pom-pom garlands, red and green balls and a few pretty ornaments to round out the design. Our 10-piece snowflake ornaments work best for decorating. It has everything you need in one set and the snowflake theme fits perfectly with outside dining. Feel free to poke around our Christmas Shop for more fun finds to add to your party, like holiday décor, ornament trees, personalized ornaments, Christmas figurines, and more!
04
Create Snowman Cones
A frosty treat to keep everyone cool, these DIY ice cream cones are a hit for both kids and adults. Lay out everything you need to make your snowmen. We used a few dipping bowls from our Profile sets to hold all the fixings. Here’s what to use to bring these snowmen to life: cones, vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips, licorice, pretzel sticks and candy corn. Put on their tiny chocolate top hats and they’re here! Keep some ice cream in a nearby ice bucket so everyone can help themselves to their own sundae. Serve it in our Snow Day bowls and enjoy!Ever thrown a Christmas in July party? (You will now!)
