Fall Hard For Apple Spice: Recipes & Entertaining Ideas

Move over, pumpkin spice. This year, we’re embracing apple spice (and everything nice) instead! Here, we’ve set a scene with fresh ideas for fall entertaining, from decorating the table with gingham to livening up your dining space with freshly fallen leaves. Then, we dreamed up three fab ways to incorporate fall’s favorite fruit into your autumn events. You’re in for a treat—and so are your guests!

1) Bobbing For Apples Centerpiece

Your guests will love this call back to a fall classic. Inspired by the fun, fruity festivity of bobbing for apples, this twist on tradition is an apple-centric stunner for your table—no actual apple bobbing required. To create this centerpiece, simply gather unblemished apples and give them a good wash before placing them in the biggest bowl you can find. We recommend serving bowls from our Profile, Autumn Studio, or French Perle collections for the prettiest presentation. Then, incorporate autumnal elements like flickering tea lights, a rustic table runner, and fiery leaves.

2) Apple Place Settings

This next idea is the apple of our eye—and it’ll be yours too when you see how easy it is to add a personalized touch to the table. Simply cut nametags in the shape of a leaf and add them to apples. Then place the apples where you’d like guests to sit at your autumn-inspired table. Our Autumn Studio collection will emphasize the warm welcoming nature of your feast with a cornucopia of elegant design. Finish off this autumnal apple party with home décor from candlesticks to vases too.

3) Bourbon Apple Cider Cocktail

An on-theme drink is always a welcome addition to your party planning, and you’re sure to fall in love with this grown-up glass of apple cider. To create it, simply fill a glass halfway with apple cider. (We suggest tall or short Tuscany Stackables in an on-theme amber hue.) Fill the glass the rest of the way with equal parts bourbon and ginger beer, then add a splash of lemon. Finish with a cinnamon stick or apple slice garnish and give it a go!
