Sparkling Fall Sangria

Forget mulled ciders and wines, here is an easy-to-make sparkling fall-flavored sangria that is perfect for cozy get-togethers!

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4

750 ml bottle red wine
¼ cup maple syrup
1 cup cored and sliced Fuji apples
1 cup cored and sliced red pears
½ cup sliced orange, plus extra slices for garnish
3 cinnamon sticks, plus extra for garnish
2 scraped/leftover vanilla bean pods
6 cloves whole
2 cups sparkling water

  • Get a large, resealable container. Pour wine and maple syrup and stir until combined. Next, add your fruits: apples, pears and oranges. Then your spices: cinnamon sticks, vanilla beans and cloves.
  • Press the ingredients down to completely submerge in the wine and refrigerate overnight or for one day. Before serving, strain wine from fruit and spices and combine with sparkling water. Be sure to save a couple of pear and apple slices to put in each of the wine glasses.
  • Divide sangria between glasses. Garnish each with an orange slice and cinnamon stick and serve. You can also add a couple of ice cubes to keep it your drink chilled in warmer weather!
