First Blessing Nativity Drummer Boy Figurine

Love this nativity set. I started collecting the pieces last year. I saw the discontinued pieces on other websites and they are magnificent. Lenox, please, please, bring back some of those pieces. Love the previous and original ox, donkey, drummer boy, sheppard, sheep, Inn keeper, camel, etc. How many of you ladies and gent agree with me? The prices those websites ask are ridiculously high. I would rather buy them from Lenox. I buy all my china, flatware, glassware, and Christmas decorations from Lenox already. Lenox, please listen to your loyal customers.

I just purchased this piece and others from the First Nativity set. The pieces are beautiful and exceed my expectations. I have been looking for a nativity set for a while and am glad I waited and decided on this one.

Of course we need a drummer boy in the First Blessing nativity set. The design is simple and elegant like the other pieces.

I am sad that Lenox disconinued making the original, porcelain pieces for the First Blessing collection. I went ahead and bought the "new" drummer boy but, while it is still nice, it is not as pretty as the first one. (It is ceramic.) The gold and colors are plain and not as detailed. I am especially sad because I didn't purchase the donkey from the initial style and the "new" one would clash with the other pieces. (details are vivid red). It is nice and the red is nice but wouldn't look good with the pastel colors of the rest of my set. I can't afford $300.00+ that people are charging on eBay for donkeys from the first design. Crazy.
